About TRB-Polytechnic/ AP Exam (English)

Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) conducts TRB Polytechnic Lecturers Exams to fill Lecturer (Engineering / Non-Engineering) Posts for Govt. Polytechnic Colleges and Assistant Professors Exam to fill Assistant Professors posts to fill vacancies in Govt Engineering Colleges respectively once in two years.

Educational Qualifications:

For Polytechnic Lecturer Exam:

Lecturer in non-Engineering subjects: A first class Master's degree in the appropriate branch of study.

For Assistant Professors Exam:

• Master's Degree in the relevant subject with good academic record with not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University, and
• Pass in the National Eligibility Test (NET) State Eligibility Test (SET) for Lecturers conducted by the University Grants Commission. Provided that holders of Ph.D Degree are exempted from passing the said test.

Scheme of Examination:

The written examination will consist of a single paper of 3-hour duration with 190 marks. The question paper will be of objective type with multiple choice questions. The marks allotted to the Main Subject and General Knowledge are as follows:
